Oklahoma State’s 2002 win vs Nebraska

It was a long time coming, but when Oklahoma State finally defeated Nebraska, Stillwater was in a frenzy no matter what the weather was like. The National Football Foundation takes us back to that glorious, and damp day in Cowboys history when Oklahoma State picked up the first win against the Huskers since 1961.

“Oklahoma State exercised four decades of anguish as the Cowboys defeated Nebraska for the first time since 1961, 24-21 in Stillwater, Okla. Quarterback Josh Fields completed 17 passes for 192 yards, with 11 catches and 134 yards going to wide receiver Rashaun Woods. Nebraska’s Jammal Lord posted a one-yard touchdown run with two minutes to play, but the ensuing onside kick went out of bounds. Later that season the Cowboys would upset No. 4 Oklahoma in Stillwater, marking the first time in school history that Oklahoma State defeated longtime Big 8 powers Nebraska and Oklahoma in the same season.”

But forget all that. Les Miles was the coach of Oklahoma State! Be sure to check out the halftime interview at the start of the second video found below. (If videos aren’t working, click here).
