College Games of the Week

The big game this week is in Norman, and we’ll be there broadcasting College Football Saturday, but there are some other terrific matchups as well.

One of those is Texas Tech going to Manahattan to take on Kansas State, and while we’re convince the Wildcats are a national title contender, the Red Raiders are a very capable club. This may be a tight game for three quarter, but since they’re at home we expect K-State to get it done 35-21.

Florida plays Georgia, and while many have this game as a close one, we’re not buying into that one. The Gators are a much more physical team than they’ve been in recent years, and they’ll wear the Bulldogs down. Florida wins this one, going away 38-17.

No one seems to be talking about Mississipi State at Alabama, and with good reason. Even though the Bulldogs are near the top 10 and undefeated, they just aren’t near the level of the Tide. This one will get ugly early, with Bama winning 37-10

Of course the game everyone is talking about is Notre Dame at Oklahoma. This game has obvious national implications, and some very historic interest, and while the Irish run defense is very good they won’t be able to stop the pass unless they can get to Jones. They may be able to pressure him some, but probably not enough to make a big difference. Notre Dame’s offense is anemic, and they simply cannot keep up with OU’s scoring. We see the Sooners winning this, and making a statement in doing so, beating the Irish by a 41-17 score.
